Rc-Annie training for Performers and Stage Managers

6.30pm GMT online, up to 2 hours
Acting requires one to be vulnerable. Even the most experienced actors can suffer the effects of playing emotionally exhausting scenes night after night. De-roling is about taking time to remove the role after rehearsals, a show, or the run.
We use a process of connecting to the neutral body, shifting the mode of embodiment from that of the Character back to the Actor.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Performers, Stage managers and Theatre makers.
WHAT IS IT?
An interactive online session. We explain what de-roling is and why it's useful.
Part of the session is dedicated to teach a tried and tested yoga based method to de-role.
Delivered by Rachel Bown-Williams a Kundalini Global Yoga Teacher specialising in breath work and mastering addictive & anxious behaviours.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
A quiet space, (make your space feel as calm as possible - you may wish to bring a yoga mat or a blanket to lay out.
Maybe a blanket to keep yourself warm.
A note pad and something to write with.
OUTCOME?
Learn how to de-role, and take away the knowledge of how to regulate your autonomic nervous system with Kundalini yoga and breath work.

FEEDBACK
"... I was the most zen I'd been in years for several days after the workshop and have found the breathing techniques invaluable since then, in all sorts of different contexts - both personal and professional. I've also implemented a check-in and check-out, alongside breathing and movement at the beginning and end of all of my acting classes and it's had pretty much a 100% improvement on the students' wellbeing when they compare their moods before and after class - incredible! ..."
