We are extremely thrilled to be able to present Tony Wolf, in two online presentations. Tony's methods have been hugely influential in our work and instrumental in how we create action.
A fun, challenging conceptual seminar in the creative process of designing original combat styles for science fiction and fantasy projects. After studying examples of this process in action via fighting style design in the Legend of William Tell TV series and the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, we'll collaboratively develop a new style for a hypothetical movie adaptation of a popular science fiction novel.
New Zealand citizen/US resident Tony Wolf is a former professional wrestler, stuntman and martial arts/self defence instructor. During the 1990s he devised his original Wolf System of stage combat, which has been taught to actor/combatants, dancers and stunt performers throughout the world, and between 1998-2000 he served as the Cultural Fighting Styles Designer for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. His action design has been featured in over 250 international feature film, television, stage and video game productions. Tony is also largely responsible for the revival of Bartitsu, the "lost martial art of Sherlock Holmes".
