“As the fight goes on, the blows grow more savage. Ruddick gets slung spectacularly hard
against the wall, arms splattering into the unforgiving brick. He manages to get away a couple of
punches to Morgan's chest as his opponent presses in, but is finally decimated by a huge, arcing
hammer-blow to the face after failing to recover from a jab to the belly. Beaten, he slumps slowly
to the floor to a chorus of sympathetic moans from the gathered audience.”

FIGHT DIRECTORS
Rc-Annie is co founded by two Fight Directors and has a select team of experienced Fight Choreographers at our fingertips. Our Choreographers work as part of the creative team from conception to production. We discuss the requirements and visual aesthetic of the piece with the Director and liaise between all departments to ensure the vision is fully realised in the end production. Equally, we are happy to pop into your production to Fight Doctor any existing fight blocking to put your mind at rest and safely sign off the action.

TRAINING
We have BADC qualified fight teachers and personal trainers available to help prepare your performers for their physically demanding roles. We can also train stage management, technicians and performers in working with theatrical handguns, breakables and blood. We introduce them to the underlining safety techniques behind all ‘staged combat’ and then train them in their required skills such as street fighting, swordfight, slapstick, theatrical handguns or simply getting fit.
If you are seeking Course Information go to the CURRENT COURSES page. |
HANDGUNS
We offer advice, information and training on UK Theatrical Handguns including what you can and cannot legally use in the UK. You actually have a go at preparing, loading, firing, empting and cleaning your blank firing handgun in this practical introduction. Once that’s done you can learn other valuable information about how to transport and store your theatrical weaponry.
If you are seeking a Handgun course contact info@rc-annie.com or visit DRAMA SCHOOL AND HE. |
WEAPONRY
We maintain, supply and hire weaponry to theatre. Clear out that old props cupboard and learn what is worth keeping, repairing or discarding. We can advise you on where to purchase your weaponry or can arrange this for you including sourcing items from abroad. We also hire weaponry and advise on how the current UK law may effects your weaponry choices.

BREAKABLES
Explore how to get the most out of resin/sugar glass, green ware or wax ware props? Explore their limitations and discover how to maximize the props for the greatest physical effect. We also cover how to work safely with breakable furniture such as stools, tables and chairs and how to still maintain the illusion of real violence.
If you are seeking a Breakables class contact info@rc-annie.com or visit DRAMA SCHOOL AND HE. |
ACTORS WHO CAN FIGHT
We are lucky to have a diverse and talented team of professional actors who can also fight like they were born to it. All fight with ease in classical and historical swordfights, modern martial fights or messy ‘untrained’ looking brawls. The added bonus is that all are also trained professional actors and actresses. Simply let us know what attributes you require and we will match them to our actor/fighters profiles.

“…three action moments raise the dramatic temperature, starting with a brilliantly staged fight between Lennie and Tom Lewis as the mean-spirited Curley. The key scene comes as Lennie cradles Curley’s young wife and accidentally breaks her neck as he tries to restrain her. Finally, the closing moments as George calms Lennie before shooting him in the back of the head - the litmus test for this play - offers both poignancy and resolution, while keeping sentimentality firmly at bay.”
Of Mice and Men at the Shaw Theatre. The Stage, 9th Oct 06

“There is violence in profusion with fists flying, knife battles, revolvers brandished and fired and bodies carried off stage. Plus, of course, the double deaths of the young couple. And not a doublet in sight…
the deaths of the pair on a bare stage makes for a truly dramatic finale.”
Romeo and Juliet. The Stage.
