Screen Fighting requires a complex combination of movement, control and coordination while at the same time maintaining
the emotional truth of a character. It takes time to ‘fake’ a
good fight. If your Actors aren’t already trained or practicing Stage Combatants this will be evident in their performance.
In the same way that an Actor cannot play a convincing Ballet Dancer without extensive training, an Actor cannot become a convincing Fighter in an afternoon.

HORDE is a training group for those with Stage or Screen Combat experience, a Forum to share their skills and learn new ones.

Members of Horde get discounts on other RC-Annie Workshops and Merchandise, get casting information, and are given opportunity to audition for our Fight Shows and create Fight Reels.

We believe that in order to make Stage Combat effective, it is important to have a knowledge of different Fighting styles and Disciplines. It stands to reason that a great way to understand Stage Combat is to learn and get an insight about the real thing. We regularly invite specialist tutors to come and lead Workshops in their specific Discipline from Historical to Modern Martial Arts.
