FILM

The Fight Team are actors who can fight to a very high standard and understand the demands of performing fights for camera  they make great fighting background artists, professional stand ins and fight doubles and ideal supporting characters who need no additional fight training.

PERFORMANCE

The company of advanced actor-combatants creates work for performances ranging from street theatre, to festivals and corporate events, as well as dramatic and artistic performance pieces.  It also forms the pool of performers from which initial casting suggestions are made for outside work.

HORDE TRAINING SESSIONS

HORDE sessions aim to develop ongoing ‘ideas lab’ projects in devising new and creative work.  This includes both ‘bespoke’ pieces commissioned for specific events, and RC-Annie in-house productions.  Above all, HORDE is an opportunity for our advanced artists to continue performance after completing their BADC qualifications, in a creative environment which thrives on play, exploration and collaboration.

Current projects include a 40 minute street theatre show the Covent Garden, which is being performed from May 2011. Consideration for HORDE is currently through invitation and application.  Preference is placed on casting company members with a range of complementary skills and attributes.  If you are interested, please email a CV and cover letter describing your background in stage combat, performance, and other special skills to lyndall@rc-annie.com.  Applicants are encouraged to attend other RC-Annie events or BADC workshops so your skills can be observed.

Screen and Stage Fighting requires a complex combination of movement, control and coordination while at the same time maintaining the emotional truth of a character. It takes time to ‘fake’ a good fight. In the same way that an Actor cannot play a convincing Ballet Dancer without extensive training, an Actor cannot become a convincing Fighter in an afternoon.
